27

I’m looking forward to attending my first 27 dinner this Sunday and seeing some old faces like Vinny Lingham who I used to work with and Tyler Reed who I have known for a few years and is someone that I think is going to make a huge dent in the online arena in the next few years with his ideas.

A number of people that I am looking forward to meeting include Vince Maher, Matt Buckland, Justin Hartman to name a few and I’m also looking forward to hearing Colin speak about the ideas for The Times.

If you are going to be attending 27 I am looking forward to meeting you.

lol, do you have built in radar that detects when people talk about you even when they don’t link to you and spell your name wrong? cause I had your name spelt wrong and you replied before I edited it.

No Paul it’s a little site called Afrigator.com – heard of it before? :)

  4. May 23rd, 2007 at 15:39 | #4

    Paul,

Maybe he simply trolls your blog?

  5. May 23rd, 2007 at 15:48 | #5

  6. May 23rd, 2007 at 15:49 | #6

Justin’s nick should be “One Hit Wonder” ;-)

  8. May 23rd, 2007 at 15:58 | #8

sounds like fighting words to me dude ;-)

  9. May 23rd, 2007 at 16:11 | #9

Paul – LOL I was thinking more along the lines of Justin single-handedly clocking up page impressions for you…

Anyway, Justin and I don’t fight… we “colloborate”

  10. May 23rd, 2007 at 16:15 | #10

While that sounds rather perversely kinky, I’m going to give the both of you the benefit of the doubt ;-)

  11. May 23rd, 2007 at 16:29 | #11

Yes nice comeback there Colin but the damage was already done. Geez you Times people are hardcore – flame-wars going on behind peoples back… What next?

  12. May 23rd, 2007 at 16:33 | #12

    food fight on Sunday?

  13. May 23rd, 2007 at 16:43 | #13

Justin – Us “Times people” seem to be really good at two things:

    1. Generating traffic/hype/commentary
    2. Hurting peoples feelings

We really need to work on a couple of other things too… :-)

  14. May 23rd, 2007 at 21:30 | #14

Geez, I can see my arithmetic is going to improve if I comment on The Times blogs… I had fun the other day on wiredgecko: I was asked how many apples I had after being told I had 8 apples and 6 oranges. So I answered 8 and was still told I was wrong. *rolls eyes*

Anyway, Paul, I meant to say, see you at the 27dinner!

  15. May 23rd, 2007 at 22:05 | #15

  20. May 23rd, 2007 at 22:33 | #20

Hmmm not ringing any bells. But that could just be my memory. You may have to jog it.

I’ve had some interesting moments when I met ircers offline by accident. Like sitting next to an ircer on a flight down to Cape Town and only realising who he was when the ircer who picked me up greeted him. And then having sushi last year with another old irc friend and some friends of his, and it turned out his flatmate and I had chatted sometime back.

  21. May 23rd, 2007 at 22:39 | #21

we’ll exchange irc war stories when we meet.

  22. May 23rd, 2007 at 22:43 | #22

/me looks forward to it :)
