The Gum Tree

Ok

So today I took my son, Dylan to a theme Park in Johannesburg Called Gold Reef City

There are some photos on my flickr space, but in a nutshell , Gold Reef City is a theme park based on the mining community that was johannesburg in the late 1800 and early 1900′s.

The whole place was built around a genuine old mine shaft and they have preserved it as best as they could in it’s original state.

On one of the path’s to a ride I found this tree below.

Is it Gum Art? or a Gum Tree ?

Oh, the gum tree looks gross. So, people go there and stick their chewed up gums on the tree? It’s a tree full of germs? hehe…

It is giving me this great idea of collecting school desks and put on an art exhibition. People will have to look under the desk to see all the gums kids stick onto the bottom. It will be a great show, and I am sure that some people would consider it art.

    Gum tree…..hilarous.

I had to lie down to see these photos!

And I couldn’t help wondering: Do these trees blow bubbles?

This is funny… one of the things I remember from my childhood was going to Six Flags over texas…. And there was a similiar gum tree- on the entrance to the Runaway mine Train….

Something about mine rides and gum trees….

    Hope you enjoyed yourself!

Have twisted my neck trying to see the photos right-side up. I guess I got too close because there is something gooey and gummy on my shirt now, lol. Have a great weekend and thanks for coming by!
